MEDICINA E CHIRURGIA 2013: ISCRIZIONE AI TEST D’INGRESSO – COME?

Carissimi studenti,

dal 6 maggio al 7 giugno 2013 (ore 16:00 israeliane) e’ possibile iscriversi ai test d’ingresso a medicina, odontoiatria, veterinaria e architettura.

Per potersi iscrivere all’esame e’ pero’ prima necessario registrarsi al sito stesso, al link:

Per completare il modulo di registrazione e’ necessario inserire il numero di codice fiscale.

Per sapere qual e’ il vostro numero di codice fiscale, usate uno dei generatori di codice fiscale disponibili in rete, come, per esempio, quello che trovate al link: http://www.nonsolocap.it/codice-fiscale/

Quando iniziate la registrazione all’esame, indicate innanzitutto che avete conseguito la BAGRUT in Israele.

Quindi procedete con la selezione del corso di laurea: o Medicina, o Veterinaria, o Architettura.

A questo punto dovete indicare la sede universitaria dove sosterrete l’esame di ammissione (test d’ingresso).

ATTENZIONE!!!! La vostra prima scelta = la sede universitaria dove sosterrete l’esame di ammissione, DEVE essere la stessa sede che avete indicato/indicherete all’IIC di Haifa o all’IIC di TLV al momento della pre-iscrizione all’universita’ (per questo avete tempo fino al 21 giugno:

MED SCHOOL and ARCHITECTURE IN ITALY 2014-2015: ALL OUR PREP. COURSES ALREADY ON THEIR WAY!!!!

In this post you’ll find ALL our preparation courses, both in Italian and English (and- NEW this year – in HEBREW), for both Medicine (& Co.) and Architecture:

NEW THIS YEAR!!!!! BASIC PREP. COURSES in BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, MATH, PHYSICS and HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE/ART HISTORY IN HEBREW!!!!!

60 hours courses (minimum 8 students). Each course costs 3000 NIS. Two (2) courses cost 5500 NIS. Three (3) courses cost 7000 NIS. The whole package (4 courses)* costs 8.800 NIS. Prices include learning materials.

LAST CHANCE – SPECIAL INTENSIVE ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE OPENING ON MAY 13th, 2013

A special intensive Italian language course, the last one suitable for the Academic Year 2013-2014, is scheduled to open on MAY 13th 2013 @ the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa.

The perfect course for:

1) whoever took and passed the IMAT exam 2013 and whishes now to learn a bit of Italian before flying to Italy;

2) whoever took and might have not passed the IMAT 2013 and would like to take a shot with the entry exam to MED SCHOOL in Italian, scheduled on July 23rd, 2013;

3) whoever is considering to enroll to any of the Academic courses, which scheduled their entry exams in September (Physiotherapy, Nursing school, Biology, Pharmaceutical school, Engineering, Business school, etc.) or which require to pass ONLY the Italian language exam on September 3rd, 2013 (Law school, Humanities, Chemistry, Math, Physics, etc.).

MEDICINA, ODONTOIATRIA, VETERINARIA e ARCHITETTURA in ITALIA: LE NOVITA’ 2013!!!!

Cari amici e studenti,

con questo post speriamo di riuscire a spiegare tutte le novita’ legate all’esame di ammissione alle facolta’ di MEDICINA, ODONTOIATRIA, VETERINARIA e ARCHITETTURA per l’anno 2013-2014 (clicca qui per scaricare il Decreto Ministeriale 24 aprile 2013 n. 334):

1) I 20 punti non sono piu’ un ostacolo impossibile!!! :D

Non sono stati cancellati. Sono ancora li’, ma ora non e’ piu’ cosi’ difficile superare la soglia dei 20 punti:

- 1,5 punti per ogni risposta esatta;
- meno 0,4 punti per ogni risposta sbagliata;
- 0 punti per ogni risposta non data.

Vale a dire che bastano 14 risposte esatte per arrivare a 20 e che se di risposte esatte ne date almeno 20, allora potete permettervi 25 risposte sbagliate prima di scendere sotto la soglia dei 20 punti [(20 x 1.5) - (25 x 0.4) = 20]. In passato servivano 20 risposte esatte per arrivare a 20 e con un solo errore si scendeva gia sotto. :/

2) NEW FORMAT! Meno domande, meno tempo.

90 minuti di tempo per rispondere a 60 domande, cosi’ ripartite:

MEDICINA e ODONTOIATRIA: (5) quesiti per l’argomento di culturagenerale, venticinque (25) di ragionamento logico,quattordici (14) di biologia, otto (8) di chimica e otto (8) difisica e matematica.

VETERINARIA: cinque (5) di cultura generale e venticinque (25) diragionamento logico; dodici (12) quesiti di di biologia, dodici(12) di chimica e sei (6) di fisica e matematica.

ARCHITETTURA: cinque (5) quesiti di culturagenerale e venticinque (25) di ragionamento logico, dodici (12) distoria, dieci (10) di disegno e rappresentazione e otto (8) dimatematica e fisica.

ATTENZIONE!!!!!!!
Per la prima volta quest’anno sara’ il CAMBRIDGE ASSESSMENT a formulare i quesiti, e non il Ministero dell’Istruzione Italiano (MIUR), come gia’ in passato.

Questo significa che i quesiti (le domande) saranno SIMILI a quelli gia’ visti nell’esame di ammissione a MEDICINA IN INGLESE (http://www.accessoprogrammato.miur.it/compiti/CompitoInglese2013.pdf).

In particolare, CAMBIA LA TIPOLOGIA DELLE 25 DOMANDE DI LOGICA: niente piu’ giochini verbali (molto difficili per i candidati stranieri) o banali indovinelli matematici, ma molto piu’ seri quesiti di RAGIONAMENTO CRITICO (critical and analytical thinking).

3) 10 punti di BONUS dal voto di maturita’ (BAGRUT)! :)

Solo se superate la soglia dei 20 punti, la media dei voti della vostra BAGRUT puo’ regalarvi fino a 10 punti di BONUS!
Come? Il calcolo e’ un pochino complicato e sara’ tutto piu’ chiaro quando si apriranno le iscrizioni ON LINE all’esame (vedi infra).

In ogni caso, la formula per convertire la MEDIA dei voti della vostra BAGRUT secondo la scala italiana e’ la seguente:

Voto = (V – Vmin) : (Vmax-Vmin) x (Imax – Imin) + Imin

V = Voto da convertire
Vmin=Voto minimo per la sufficienza nella scuola straniera di appartenenza (55/100 in Israele)

Vmax=Voto massimo nella scuola straniera di appartenenza (100/100 in Israele)
Imin= Voto minimo per la sufficienza in una scuola italiana (= 60/100)
Imax= Voto massimo in un scuola italiana (=100/100)

Per esempio, se la vostra media risulta pari a 86/100 secondo la scala israeliana, secondo la scala italiana risulta pari a: (86-55) : (100-55) x (100-60) + 60 = 87.55, voto che vi regala 6 punti di bonus, secondo la seguente tabella:

Voto ≥ 95° percentile: 10 punti

90° percentile ≤ Voto < 95° percentile: 8 punti

85° percentile ≤ Voto < 90° percentile: 6 punti

80° percentile ≤ Voto < 85° percentile: 4 punti
I voti di maturità riferiti ai percentili di riferimento sono pubblicati sul sito del Ministero entro il 31 maggio 2013.

ATTENZIONE!!!!
In caso di dichiarazione errata o non veritiera relativamente al voto di maturità e al possesso del diploma di istruzione secondaria superiore, il candidato è escluso dalla graduatoria o, se già immatricolato,decade dall’iscrizione, anche se ha già sostenuto esami.

COME FARE PER NON SBAGLIARE?
La media dei voti di Bagrut secondo la scala israeliana deve corrispondere ESATTAMENTE a quanto scritto sulla DICHIARAZIONE DI VALORE che gli IIC di Haifa e TLV preparano a fronte della vostra Bagrut completa e ORIGINALE.

Pertanto, FATE RIFERIMENTO SEMPRE E SOLO ALLA DICHIARAZIONE DI VALORE PER L’INSERIMENTO DEI DATI RELATIVI ALLA MEDIA DEI VOTI DELLA BABRUT!

Le DICHIARAZIONI DI VALORE saranno pronte dalla fine di giugno 2013 per tutti i candidati che ENTRO il 21 giugno 2013 si sono pre-iscritti presso gli IIC di Haifa e di TLV (http://www.ambtelaviv.esteri.it/NR/rdonlyres/C6C10D1D-4594-441D-9A62-29C9C50F1B4F/0/StudiareinItaliaENG.pdf).

IMPORTANTE!!!! Il voto di BAGRUT va inserito nella’area riservata del sito http://accessoprogrammato.miur.it SOLO dal giorno successivo alla prova d’esame e rispettivamente ENTRO il 29 luglio per Medicina e Odontoiatria, il30 luglio per Veterinaria e entro il 31 luglio per Architettura. Non sono ammessi ritardi, di nessun tipo, per nessun motivo.

4) Iscrizione all’esame ON LINE uguale per tutti!!!!

Per la prima volta quest’anno l’iscrizione all’esame avverra’ per tutti on line ESCLUSIVAMENTE attraverso il portale www.universitaly.it (come gia’ per l’esame IMAT 2012 e 2013).

Le iscrizioni si apriranno il 6 maggio 2013 e si chiuderanno INDEROGABILMENTE alle ore 15:00 del giorno7 giugno 2013.

Quindi, entro il 14 giugno 2013 i candidati devono effettuare il PAGAMENTO per l’esame secondo le procedure indicate dall’Universita’ in cui sostengono la prova = il pagamento NON viene effettuato attraverso il portale Universitaly, ma direttamente presso l’Universita’ dove si effetua la prova.

IMPORTANTE!!!!

Sono scomparsi i raggruppamenti di piu’ universita’ che erano stati introdotti lo scorso anno.

Invece, adesso al momento dell’iscrizione all’esame i candati indicano l’ORDINE DI PREFERENZA delle sedi per le quali intendono concorrere (come gia’ per l’IMAT 2013). La PRIMA SCELTA e’ sempre la sede in cui il candidato sostiene l’esame = l’UNIVERSITA’ che il candidato indica durante la pase di pre-iscrizione presso gli IIC di Haifa e di TLV (http://www.ambtelaviv.esteri.it/NR/rdonlyres/C6C10D1D-4594-441D-9A62-29C9C50F1B4F/0/StudiareinItaliaENG.pdf).

ATTENZIONE!!!! Il voto di BAGRUT NON va inserito nella’area riservata del portale Universitaly, ma nell’area riservata del sito http://accessoprogrammato.miur.it SOLO dal giorno successivo alla prova d’esame e rispettivamente ENTRO il 29 luglio per Medicina e Odontoiatria, il 30 luglio per Veterinaria e entro il 31 luglio per Architettura.

Non sono ammessi ritardi, di nessun tipo, per nessun motivo.

5) Date e scadenze

Riassumiamo qui per voi tutte le DATE e SCADENZE relative agli esami di ammissione alle facolta’ di Medicina-Odontoiatria, Veterinaria e Architettura 2013:

- Fino al 21 giugno 2013: pre-iscrizioni presso gli IIC di Haifa e TLV (http://www.ambtelaviv.esteri.it/NR/rdonlyres/C6C10D1D-4594-441D-9A62-29C9C50F1B4F/0/StudiareinItaliaENG.pdf);

- Dal 6 maggio 2013 al 7 giugno 2013 (ore 15:00): iscrizione all’esame di ammissione ESCLUSIVAMENTE attraverso il portale www.universitaly.it;

- Entro il 14 giugno 2013, pagamento per l’esame di ammissione secondo le indicazioni dell’Universita’ presso la quale lo studente sosterra’ la prova;

- Inserimento nell’area riservata del sito http://accessoprogrammato.miur.it del voto di BAGRUT, secondo il seguente calendario:

MEDICINA-ODONTOIATRIA: dal 24 luglio 2013 al 29 luglio 2013
VETERINARIA: dal 25 luglio 2013 al 30 luglio 2013
ARCHITETTURA: dal 26 luglio 2013 al 31 luglio 2013

- Pubblicazione nell’area riservata del sito http://accessoprogrammato.miur.it del punteggio d’esame (SENZA il bonus per il voto di Bagrut) di tutti i candidati (anonimo e in ordine decrescente), secondo il seguente calendario:

MEDICINA-ODONTOIATRIA: 5 agosto 2013
VETERINARIA: 6 agosto 2013
ARCHITETTURA: 7 agosto 2013

- 26 agosto 2013: pubblicazione nell’area riservata agli studenti del sitohttp://accessoprogrammato.miur.it delle due graduatorie nazionali di merito NOMINATIVE, una riservata ai cittadini italiani, EU e NON EU residenti in Italia e una risrvata ai cittadini NON EU residenti all’estero. La graduatoria e’ data dalla somma del punteggio d’esame e del bunus per il voto della Bagrut.

- Il 26 agosto 2013 nell’area riservata agli studenti del sito http://accessoprogrammato.miur.it sono pubblicati anche i nomi dei candidati vincitori del posto presso la loro universita’ di prima scelta.
I candidati vincitori devono provvedere all’immatricolazione presso l’universita’, secondo le procedure indicate da ciascuna sede universitaria, entro un termine massimo di 4 (quattro) giorni, escluso il sabato e i giorni festivi, ovvero entro la fine di agosto 2013.
La mancata immatricolazione dei candidati vincitori entro i termini stabiliti comporta la RINUNCIA alla stessa = LA PERDITA DEL POSTO.

International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT) 2013: ALL RELEVANT NEW INFO (what’s new and what did not change)!!!

Dear friends and students,

this post aims to clarify/explain (as far as possible) the new enrollment procedures to the 2013 INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL ADMISSION TEST (IMAT).

1) The 20 points barrier is still there. You score LESS then 20 points in the exam and you are out of the competition. End of the story. This did not change. But many other important things did change, quite a bit, and mostly in a good way = in your favour. Let’s see:

2) Earlier exam date: Monday, APRIL 15th 2013. It might look bad (less time to get ready), but knowing the outcome of the exam already by the end of April (and not in September, as it was once) will help you to organize better your future (bureaucratic procedure, housing arrangements, alternative options – if needed);

3) Earlier enrolment: between February 18th and March 20th, 2013, only ON LINE, like last year (also this did not change);

4) On April 15th, @ 15:00 (erev You Atzmahut…) , YOU CAN TAKE THE EXAM IN TEL AVIV, @ the ITALIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE !!!! NO NEED ANY MORE TO FLY TO ITALY ONLY FOR THIS!

5) Compared to last year, there are MORE SPOTS available for NON EU CANDIDATES (see below, in blue) :

6) Compared to the past, the exam is now SHORTER and it is MUCH EASIER TO PASS :

60 questions to be answered in 90 minutes, out of which 30 go to General Culture and Critical Thinking, 14 to Biology, 8 to Chemistry, 8 to Math and Physics. Each correct answer counts 1.5 points. You lose 0.4 points if your answer is incorrect. You score 0 (zero) if you do not answer at all. This is not bad at all! It means that it is now REALLY EASY to pass the 20 points barrier!!!! See: 20 correct answer now count 30 points, which give you a margin of 10 points = UP TO 25 incorrect answer (0.4 x 25 = 10 points) that you can throw out of the window without falling below 20!!!!! To get the full picture, remember that untill last year every correct answer counted 1 point only and every incorrect answer counted -0.25 points = with 20 correct answers and ONLY one incorrect answer you were already out of the competition, as it happend to way too many very bright and very prepared students, like you.

7) Your ENGLISH counts !!! 5 additional points are are assigned to every candidate which either attended a English speaking high school or holds one of the following certificates:

CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) University of Cambridge ESOL
CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) University of Cambridge ESOL
FCE (First Certificate in English) University of Cambridge ESOL
IELTS Academic, da 5,5 University of Cambridge ESOL
BEC (Business English Certificate) Higher University of Cambridge ESOL
TOEFL IBT, da 87 Educational Testing Service
TOEFL CBT, da 228 Educational Testing Service
TOEFL PBT, da 568 Educational Testing Service

8) You HIGH SCHOOL CAREER counts !!! Up to 5 additional points are granted based on your high school average grades in literature, one foreign language and math in the 9th, 10th and 11th school years.

between 7 and 8 3

Conversion formula to the Italian grading system:

Grade = (V-Vmin) : (Vmax-Vmin) x 10

V= Israeli grade to be converted
Vmin= Minimum grade to pass in Israel
Vmax= Maximum grade granted in Israel

EXAMPLE: 100 is the highest grade that you could get in Israel. 55 is the minimum to pass (I guess: please correct me if I am wrong). Let’s say that your average grade is 95/100. So… (95-55) : (100 – 55) x 10 = 8.88, which is worth 4 additiona points. Not bad!

9) IMPORTANT TO NOTE/KNOW: the additional 5 (English) + 5 points (High School Career) are NOT granted to those that score LESS than 20 points in the ENTRY EXAM.

So, summing up: more spots, more points, exam to be taken in TLV!

NO EXCUSES: YOU CAN’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY MED SCHOOL IN ITALY! YOU REALLY CAN’T!
